FORGIVENESS IS ESSENTIAL FOR US TO LIVE

We all fall short of God's glory and sin. Romans 3:23 says, For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, This means we are all hopeless without forgiveness. We must receive forgiveness for our sins for God to allow us into heaven. But Jesus came and died on the cross for His blood to cover our sins and for us to be forgiven. I John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We must ask God for this wonderful gift of forgiveness. God will grant it to us. But Forgiveness does not end with God. God calls on us to forgive others the ways God forgives us. Matthew 6:15 says very clearly, But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. In our lives there are people who have hurt us sometimes in a very bad way. It is hard for us to forgive those things, but God calls us too. There are no exceptions. Being hurt makes it hard to forgive, but God says we must. Think about the many, many times we have hurt God with our sin, but we want his forgiveness for it all. When we forgive others we not only do it for the other person we do it for ourselves. Holding unforgiveness in our hearts hurts our walk with Jesus, because unforgiveness is a sin in it's self.

Today is a new day. It can be the first day you have released any unforgiveness in your heart. Ask God to help you clean it out and He will. Start fresh. Move forward and see when you release it how you feel. If you need help resolving a old issue contact Pastor Kurt. He will listen and help guide you toward the forgiveness that may have been holding you back for a long time.

BAPTISM SERVICE DURING MORNING WORSHIP

At 11:00 AM on February 22, 2026 we will be doing a baptism service for all who want to be baptized. I have three to baptize that morning and would welcome more. If you have never been baptized or want to be baptized again please consider doing so. If you would like to be baptized contact Pastor Kurt. Hope all of you will attend that day to celebrate the baptism service.

GREAT WAYS TO SERVE

This month we have several ways for each and everyone of you to serve if your schedule allows you too. We have Food Box Packing and Distributing at Family Worship Center in El Dorado, Kansas we help with. We also have coming up Dining with Dignity at the Union Rescue Mission in Wichita, Kansas and we are providing a meal for RISE homeless shelter in El Dorado at the Nazarene Church. Also coming up is Beggarman Ministries work day in Andover, Kansas. All of these events are on the calendar of events above. Come join any or all of them if you can.

MEN AND WOMEN BIBLE STUDIES

It is a new year and a great time to start new habits. The men and women groups provide a great opportunity for you to learn more about the bible along with other men and women of your church. It starts at 6:30PM and is one hour in length. Please consider starting something new for the new year. Come join our bible study.

CHURCH T-SHIRTS FOR SALE

We had navy blue and red church t-shirts for sale for $15.00 a piece. These shirts are a great way to let others know where you attend church and advertise our church at the same time. If you want to order or purchase T-Shirts you may call Vickie Arnold at 316-323-5803 to order yours today.

PASTOR’S CHALLENGE: The Pastor's challenge this month is for each member to invite one person to come to church with them this month.
