GROWTH AT DEGRAFF CHURCH

As you can all tell God has blessed us richly at DeGraff Community Church. We are growing in numbers. We had to open up the other room and set chairs out there to accommodate this growth. This growth is a true blessing from God. Now as we grow it leads to more work. I love we are growing in numbers and now I am asking all of you members to set up and fill in where ever you feel lead to serve. I would love to see people who want to read scripture come and read for us. I would love to see people who are gifted to sing or play an musical instrument come entertain us with your talent. I need someone to fill it when Ray is unable to attend to read the morning announcements. I need people who can help make projects get finished at the church. We have small carpentry projects that could be done, We have yard work and tree that could be trimmed and flower beds to be weeded. I apology to you all. For the longest time I have tried to do all things and accomplish all things when I have a church full of able bodied people who probably are hungry to serve the Lord any way you all can. I just needed to ask. So I am now asking you to step up and do anything you are feeling lead to do to help the church move forward. If it is building projects you would like to get involved in, then contact Judy Ferren who is in charge of the building committee. If you would like to sing or play an instrument talk to Rhonda to set up your times to grace us with your music. If you want to read a chosen scripture talk to Pastor Kurt. If you are feeling lead to teach or instruct classes talk to Pastor Kurt as well. Any kind of service you feel God leading you too please talk to me. Again I apology for not including you sooner, but as we move forward I want to include you all. Please come bless the church with your gifts.

COMMUNITY WIDE CONCERT IN THE PARK

DeGraff Community Church will host their annual “Concert in the Park” on September 12, 2026 in the Burns City Park, Burns, Kansas. A free meal starts at 4:30PM of Sloppy Joes, Chips, cookies and water then at 5:30PM the concert will start with several local musical artists sharing the talents highlighted by Erik Hauck and his band from Beggarman Ministries. Also on hand with us again this year is All Things Ministries Archery Group. All Things will set up their archery for children and adults to enjoy. All you need to bring with you are your lawn chairs, an appetite and as many friends as you would like to bring. It will be a wonderful evening in the park.

FOOD BOX GIVE-A-AWAY

DeGraff Community Church partners with Family Worship Center to give away food boxes to all who need them. This is always on the first Thursday of the month at 5:30PM on the back side of Family Worship Center. Just line up in your vehicle and when it is your turn a food box is delivered right to your vehicle. Totally free to all who need.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:

We have several opportunities to serve this month. Come enjoy good fellowship and love while we serve God together. This coming month we have the opportunities to serve doing an Beggarman Ministries Work Day on September 05, 2026 at 8:00AM at 1521 Easter, Andover, Kansas.  Free meal afterwards.   All volunteers will be welcome. At Family Worship Center in El Dorado we serve on September 01, 2026 and September 03, 2026 packing food boxes and distributing them at 5:00PM.  You all are welcome to join any of those events.

 

PASTOR’S CHALLENGE: The Pastor's challenge this month is for every one to read the Book of John and ask yourself who is Jesus to me.
