HAVE YOU BEEN HUMBLED?

There is something in this world we better learn how to do for ourselves, because if we don't God will do it for us. That one thing we better learn and learn it well is humility. We need to learn how to be humble. Our lives, our character, our relationship with the Almighty God depends on it.

God shows us humility in the bible several places. Noah who had built the ark and was responsible for saving all of the animals and mankind from annihilation laid drunk in his tent naked. I totally embarrassing situation for a man who had just done great things for God. Moses who had freed the entire Israelite nation from their bondage and lead them through the wilderness to the promise land was not allowed by God to enter it. Jonah who thought he could disobey God and then run from God ended up three days in the belly of a great fish. In modern day times Mel Gibson who wrote and directed one of the greatest films of our days, "The Passion of the Christ got drunk and said evil things about the Jewish race and almost destroyed his acting career. All of these examples where men who learned they was not God.

We have to learn humility. We have to understand our place serving an awesome God. A God who is our creator, but with so much love and compassion for us has allowed us to be prideful when even the scriptures tells us how damaging pride is.

Let me explain what humility really is. It is the understanding that we answer to an amazing God that we were created to worship, praise, honor and serve. Humility is understanding we all fall short of the glory of God and we are all sinful in our character. Humility is understanding God created every single person as his creation made in the image of God and no one and I mean no one is better than anyone else. I nice career does not make you better, a beautiful home does not make you better, a good standing in your community does not make you better, less sin in your life does not make you better. We were all created by God to bring him glory and what we as Christians can do to best serve God is to love every single person no matter their circumstance like God loves them. Love them with all of our hearts and hopefully show them a way of life that God created them for.

I fully understand that. I am a sinner saved by the grace of God to serve Him. I did not humble myself for years to understand that and my witness for God was tainted. How could I show someone that they matter to God if I did not even think they mattered to me. I lived with pride in my life for years and it stopped me from my full ministry under God. God humbled me to understand who I really was. I was God's creation equal with every single other person on the face of this earth. God loved me always but he got tired of my pride and he showed me by humiliation who I really was. Thank you God for humbling me and showing me my place.

Now my question for you. How is your thought process. What do you think when you see a homeless person on the street. Be honest. Do you truly believe that person is your equal. Does your mind go to all out love or does it go to judgement? Think hard!!! Our witness to others for the Almighty God depends on your answer. Remember this always. GOD LOVES EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THIS EARTH BECAUSE THEY ARE HIS WONDERFUL CREATION MADE IN HIS IMAGE. GOD DOES NOT SEE STATUS GOD SEES HIS CREATION. What does God see right now as he searches your heart? Pride or humility. Our choice on what God sees. Today is the day we humble ourselves before God and ask God to forgive any pride we have and show us how to better serve Him. God loves each and everyone of you so so much and so do I
