GET TO KNOW JESUS PERSONALLY

I am writing this today to encourage each and everyone of you to get to know Jesus personally. I as a pastor can tell people about Jesus in this blog and on my facebook which I do regularly.  But as a pastor that is what I am suppose to do. You are totally right. That is what I am suppose to do. I hope I do it well. But all that being said I challenge each and everyone of you to not just listen to me. Experience Jesus for yourself. I am glad to tell you about Jesus, but you have to experience Jesus for yourself. Image someone is telling you about their great experience at a fine restaurant. You can listen to their great experience or you can chose to go experience the restaurant for yourself. Once there you will get to experience the food and service first hand. You will get to make your own decision if it is truly great. I know Jesus is great and I will continue to write about Him until the day I die. But you will only experience the greatest of Jesus if you get to know Him personally for you. You may ask how do I experience Jesus for myself? Glad you asked. I will give you several ways:1. Read for yourself the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They are the books that truly talk all about Jesus and his life. Get to know him though the Bible. The rest of the new testament tells a lot about Jesus as well, but the gospels bring Him to life.2. Pray to God through Jesus. Ask for Jesus to reveal himself to you. God will be glad to answer that prayer. Listen to the voice inside of you when God starts showing you who Jesus is.3. Go to church. There are others in those churches seeking the same thing you are. They are seeking a closer walk with Jesus and hearing their experiences will encourage you to continue to seek harder.4. Look around you. Jesus is at work in many places and encourages you to join him. There are so many ministries in and around Butler County who could use more volunteers. Jesus said Himself, if you want to meet me then you take care of my people. Jesus's work did not end on the cross. It is alive and well all around you. Seek out and join where Jesus is at work. I promise it will be very rewarding.

There you go everyone. I gave you four way to experience Jesus for yourself. I have told you how great Jesus is to me, but now you must go experience Jesus for yourself to get the really true experience. Have at it. God bless you all
